Hot Fishing Spots:
From where I am standing at the time of taking the
pictures are good places to fish, if you recognise the area then
it's certainly worth giving a try as pike, carp and bream have all
been caught from round here.
Best Baits:
For the carp I would recommend you used any
bait provided it not boilies or any other HP baits. Remember canals can contain a lot
of silt and therefore you may want to consider using a pop up bait,
If you are fishing for the carp it's advisable to use small baits of
10/12 mm hair rigged, along with a small offerings of
freebies concealed in a PVA bag. To catch other species worm is the
best bait to use, however maggots, sweet corn, bread and caster have
all been proven by myself and work a treat.
Disability Access:
Disability access is fine but you will have to
contend with 1 or 2 styles as these are in place to keep the motor
cycles from riding up and down the canal.
Car Parking:
There is ample car parking, your cars can be parked
either at Little Lever, or on Hall Lane. Using your Manchester A-Z
you will find the following parking places which are in walking
distance of the canal. Page 48 grid reference5A look for Boscow Road
in Little Lever also Aintree Road.
