Bolton Anglers have
arranged quite a few work parties on
this venue over the last 8 months
however every time the wind blows hard,
the litter from the street and
surrounding areas always ends up on the
banks and is an effort to keep on top of
it all.
Bradford Lodge is a
water you either love or hate, many
anglers fail to catch here but other
anglers just keep catching time and time
again. Carp have been caught up to 20+
(cough) as have the pike, many years ago
Bradford Lodge used to be well known for
its tench however the water was polluted
and most of the tench died but they are
still some in there.
The bream fishing is
excellent on this water with 'tipping'
being the best method although float
fishing can be equally as productive
especially when using the
Polaris
float. As for ground bait for the
bream, try anything really but a good
tip is to add molasses to it along with
micro pellets and a quarter size tin of
tune fish (oil based) not the brine, it
works a treat... Well so they tell me :)
If you have caught any fish from
Bradford Lodge please fee free to post
them in and I will display them on this
page.
