trout season started last Monday here ,but I wont fish till middle to end of march,anyway might stick with the pike,been trout fishing for a long long time now,fishing since I was a little boy and am 44 now so pike fishing is much more fun,been talking to dave and would not mind giving the carp a go as well

sorry pete aint doing much fly fishing this last month been spinning for pike,all jacks at the moment ,rods away till end of Aug,waist of time.

Hi Doug,
Would you mind posting a few pics of some of your Pike flys that have worked for you in the past. This will give me and idea of what partterns to start tying so that money isn't wasted on ones that don't do the job.
I really want to give it a bash, and Pete is also keen to try, but it would be so much easier if we got a shove in the right direction from someone like yourself, who has at least got a bit of experience in this department.

duane any large fly with white maraboo and red flash will get them for deffo,as you strip it in it rises and falls in the water ,looks very life like,also these are a real killer have never tryed to tie these they are far easier to buy........best of luck
