The Polaris Float is very easy to use, covering still
water, coarse and specimen fishing. Basically the Polaris float is
just like fishing on the bottom, only you are using a float as your
bite indicator instead of bite alarms or tip indication. Many anglers have different
setup methods when using this type of fishing float and are great
for tench fishing and carp alike.

float packaging)
I have used Polaris floats in the past and have
found them to be very good despite what some anglers say about them.
Its only over the last few months that I have re introduced the
Polaris float to my armoury and I've had quite a good
success rate when doing so.
Using the Polaris float is just like
legering on the bottom, only you have the enjoyment of
watching the float go under or seeing the pleasure of a
lift bite, they are easy to set up and are super for
carp and tench fishing.
Setting up a
Polaris float:
The Polaris float has two holes either
side of the Frixon device, a small hole for thin lines
and a larger one for lines up to 20lb.
Simply thread your line through the top
hole in the frixon device and push through, add your
feeder link to the main line then add your hook link to
the bottom of the main line. Ideal lengths are
feeder/leger link 2"-3" , hook length should be around
12"-18". If you have never tried this type of fishing
float before and like to fish on the bottom, then this
is the float for you.
Try one you will not be disappointed!
Below is how the bottom link looks once I have
set the rig up.

please do because you will see my eye and lip which have been bitten
by mosquitoes. This is not the only place I had been bitten, they
were on my hands, legs, head and back.
